On a warm August evening, I sat with a good friend of mine, a sub and accomplished actress. We were having a late night cocktail on the patio of some swank downtown LA hotel. We were discussing her quest for a Dominant and her mounting frustration at the quality of available candidates in the “Dom market.” She had attended events, written a well-worded profile on a collection of online sites (with a picture, of course) and responded thoughtfully to all of her messages. She had scheduled the customary coffee first dates and followed up with responsible rendezvous but still was unable to accomplish her goal. Continue reading →
I reached out to Mitch Palmer to find out what we can expect from Devious Minds Productions and this was the response.
There has been an enormous surge of erotic related events throughout TV, books, movies and music. People have become extremely aware that there is another world out there ready to explore. Devious Minds is doing something different but familiar. We want to go back to the roots of exotic events where we focused on the people. How can we make the experience more personal and intimate so that everyone can explore their own goals while contributing to the event overall.
Our goals are to create, stimulate and evolve the fetish/kink/exotic community. Through its diversity we shall create amazing events that will traverse cultures, styles, gender, sexuality, fetish and bring us all together to celebrate how awesome we really can be.
Our upcoming events are The Fetishball on Oct 13 at Monarch Theatre and Exotica on Nov 10 at The Rock in Tucson.
Lady Grey sat down this morning and Chatted with Robert Paulson (one of, and possibly the only) author of the Fetish Blog known as “Fetish Truth and Lies”. Don’t get your hopes up, we didn’t manage to meet the author(s) but we did get them to agree to an interview. Robert Paulson is a fictional character from the movie “Fight Club” and we highly doubt this is the author’s real name.
This interview was conducted via chat to protect the identity of the blogs writer(s).
I had a chance to chat with James Bound via telephone and to get a little more information on what’s next for Horns & Halos in the coming months. Sadly there won’t be a Horns & Halos fetish events this October, it just wasn’t in the cards, but James was able to confirm that February 9th we will be treated to Fetish Revolution at Martini Ranch.
That’s not all the good news we got! Mr. Bound is working to set up a monthly Goth/Industrial night at Monsterland in Mesa, has lined up about a dozen concerts and hinted that there’s more to come.
Expect some big things in the near future, including a revamp of the Horns & Halos website. The Arizona Fetish Scene is changing and I think it’s just going to get better.
An excellent article by Midori on the dangers of kinky sex and BDSM. While Lady Grey and I don’t agree with everything she says, Midori makes some excellent points about why BDSM and kinky sex are so shunned by some, and why sometimes a scene can leave us feeling a little less than when we started.
